As we progress we start looking towards the future. With the amount of dogs surrendered into shelters because of 'poor behaviour' is saddening. Even worse are the numbers of those euthanased for those behavioural concerns. Dogs get surrendered for many behavioural reasons; too hyperactive, resource guarding, aggression, fear and anxiety, destructiveness and more. It's difficult for shelters to work with every single dog. And because of that, some slip through the bars and don't get re-homed. Owners have the option to find help from behaviour trainers before they consider surrendering them to a shelter. But, trainers can be costly, difficult to get a hold of or not locally in the area of need. That is where we come in. 4 Paws Remedy was established by a single dedicated trainer with the right qualifications. The idea of the small local business was to provide dog owners with a variety of dog training services at an affordable price with time flexibility. From behaviour training (to help with aggression, anxiety, resource guarding and more), to one on one obedience classes, puppy classes and service dog training. Providing dog owners with opportunities of having their dog trained one on one with an experienced and qualified trainer at an affordable price encourages them to work on their dog's behaviour. This helps both the dog and their trainer and enriches their relationship. There is little to no trauma caused to the dog or their owner, especially if they are anxious and don't do well in group settings. Helping owners and their dogs in this way is believed to increase their confidence and help reduce chances of surrenders into shelters. The trainer and small business uses positive reinforcement only, along with natural remedies and behavioural games to get dogs to make better choices regarding their behaviour. 
We want to expand this idea. We want to provide dog owners with more options for their dogs with behavioural problems! We want to offer access to a large fenced area for dog reactive and aggressive dogs. To give them the opportunity to do free run zoomies, recall training and a working area just for one on one training with their owner. No distractions from other off leash dogs! We want to give you access to a closed off agility area. Just you and your working dog! Sign in on a session time-slot and enjoy an hour's session with your pup! (A fee to access these areas may be applicable but are still in draft form, but don't worry, it'll be beyond affordable). We plan to have at least two bed and breakfast doggy kennels for pups who need a home away from home, for dogs who just need practice being home alone and becoming independent. There will be a behaviour consultation room for the trainer to assess a dog's behaviour outside of its home. Places to dig for those digging labs! Fenced areas for owners to do dog meets and work on their dog's dog aggression and reactivity. Even an enrichment walk for those dogs who love to sniff and explore. This is what we want. This would be a great place to start and help owners and their dogs into a better pathway.
